JEWELRY CARE
Why choose brass?
Brass is an oxidizable alloy composed of one part zinc (15% to 30%) and one part copper (70% to 85%). It is one of the preferred materials for creating hypoallergenic costume jewelry without nickel or lead. Compared to copper, it offers greater hardness and better resistance.
Why is it the predominant metal in RWA Jewels?
- It is an economical metal that allows experimentation with cubic zirconia and enamels, using jewelry techniques such as pre-setting and soldering.
- It does not contain NICKEL and therefore causes no problems for people with allergies.
- It oxidizes naturally but slowly. To limit this, follow the guidelines below.
